Principal

This is Mr. Graffis' 4th year as our principal.  Mr. Graffis grew up in Oakesdale, Washington.  While in high school, he participated in football, basketball, baseball and track.  He attended Washington State University in Pullman, where he participated in both basketball and track.  He later went on to play Professional Football for the San Fransisco 49ers.  From 1985-1995, he worked for WSU as the Director of Physical Development.  Then, from 1995-2005, he was the Assistant Principal at Jenifer Junior High School here in Lewiston.

Mr. Graffis' wife, Tracy, teaches Kindergarten for the Lewiston School District.  He has five children.  In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, watching sporting events and reading.

He says he chose teaching as a profession because of the enjoyment of working with and watching students' success.  When asked what he likes most about McSorley, he said, "The students, the staff and the parents who make up our learning community."  Mr. Graffis is very excited to be a continuing part of the rich tradition of educational excellence at McSorley elementary School.

Mr. Graffis got new shoes to show is school spirit!  Check them out!  Happy Bosses' Day Mr. Graffis!
