Many of the architectural treasures from the turn of
the last century were lost to reclamation and "progress."
Here are the photographic remnants of an elegant past.
Many of the homes were located along Main Street,
which was shaded by poplar trees (as seen around 1900),
or in the newly-established residential area that came to be
known as Normal Hill.
