Gallery of Superintendents

From 1888 onward, when the high school curriculum was organized on a more stable footing, various principals, including C.H. Foresman and W.O. Cummings, served in a district leadership role.  However, it was not until 1899 that a school head was chosen who was given the title of superintendent.  In 1899, the district had 11 teachers and 331 students.  The high school had 20 students.

The following educators have served the families and patrons of Lewiston.  Many are remembered with living legacies.
