Return to Webster Welcome Page

Welcome to the WEbster Elementary School website.  I am proud to be the principal of this great school.  A small neighborhood school made up of approximately 316 students and 40 part and full time staff members.  As a school that has been recognized as a Merit School, Distinguished School and Blue Ribbon School, we have staff members, parents, volunteers and students that recognize the importance of working together.  We understand, that to be successful, it takes all of us giving our best effort each and every day.  We know that we must come to school each day, "ready to work, ready to learn, with a positive attitude."

WE are WEbster

WE are WEbster, because we are kind, compassionate and caring.

WE are WEbster, because we are willing to help those in need in our community and around the world.

WE are WEbster, because we understand that to be successful, students, staff, parents and volunteers must work together.

WE are WEbster, because we know it is our responsibility to create a better world and a better tomorrow.

WE are WEbster, because we realize what we have accomplished in the past does not guarantee our success in the future.

WE are WEbster, because we believe in providing the opportunity for all kids and adults to be successful individuals and productive citizens.

And finally,

WE are WEbster, because we believe a strong academic focus is the key to future success.

Yes, WE are WEbster!

I was born and raised in Wahpeton, ND and received my bachelor of science degree from Dakota State University.  My first teaching job was a 3rd grade position in Weiser, Id. We then moved to Vermillion, SD where I taught 4th through 6th grades and I obtained my masters degree in administration from the University of SD.  I have been an elementary principal for 20 years, nine of which have been at "the school that's great on 8th."  I am married and the proud parent of 3 grown children.  My wife, Georgia, is a high school guidance counselor.  We have 3 great sons living across the United States.  Adam, lives in New Orleans, Brian resides in Washington, DC and Joey makes his home in Seattle.
